Hey, Treasure Valley!

This is the week when the Treasure Valley goes all-in on fall. You can walk beneath 1,000 glowing jack-o-lanterns in Eagle, trick-or-treat through Zoo Boise, sing along with a Broadway musical built around some of pop music’s biggest hits, or take the family through a drive-thru Halloween light show without leaving the car.

The weekend looks cool and mostly dry after possible showers Thursday and Friday, so bring a layer, check outdoor-event updates before you leave and get ready for a very busy Saturday night. Here are your picks for October 22–28. Choose your adventure and make a plan!

Tater's Top 5 Fun Picks

1. Night of a Thousand Pumpkins — Eagle 🎃

The Vibe: A glowing Halloween walk with 1,000 carved jack-o-lanterns, Trunk-or-Treat, a haunted City Hall, chili cook-off, food trucks and family activities.

Where: Eagle City Hall Campus, 660 E. Civic Lane, Eagle, ID 83616

Price: Free admission.

Best For: Families, costume lovers and anyone who wants a big community Halloween night without a ticket price.

Tater’s Take: "This is one of those only-in-the-Treasure-Valley nights. Go early enough to enjoy the pumpkins before the biggest crowds arrive, then stay until the whole campus is glowing."

Good to Know: Food donations for the Eagle Food Bank are welcome.

2. Boo at the Zoo — Boise 🦁

The Vibe: Two full days of trick-or-treat stations, costume contests, face painting, vendors and Halloween-themed animal enrichment.

Price: Regular zoo admission applies; current Zoo Boise members enter free.

Best For: Families with younger children, zoo fans and anyone who prefers Halloween fun in daylight.

Tater’s Take: "Costumes plus animals is a hard combination to beat. Check the enrichment schedule before you go so you can time your visit around the animals you most want to see."

3. & Juliet — Boise 🎭

The Vibe: A touring Broadway musical that imagines what happens if Juliet chooses a fresh beginning, powered by Max Martin pop anthems including “Roar,” “Since U Been Gone” and “Baby One More Time.”

Good to Know: Runs about 2 hours 40 minutes including intermission. Flashing lights and loud effects. Children under 4 not permitted.

4. Spooky Light Show — Meridian 👻
